Where Passion becomes a way of life

Creativity is the foundation of my work. it’s what brings each of my artworks to life and drives me to keep creating new things.

For me, creativity begins with spontaneity and openness to new ideas. I often have a rough concept in mind, a general direction. How the final result will look is always a bit of a surprise, as new and wonderful ideas usually come up during the process that make the piece even more beautiful than I originally imagined. That’s why I don’t spend much time hesitating – I jump straight into the project with confidence (sometimes more, sometimes less :D). It’s this spontaneous and lively process that gives my art its character.

I believe my creativity grows best when I have the courage to let go of expectations and fully dive into the process. When I dare to combine things that might not seem to fit at first. When I try new ideas without worrying about whether they’ll turn out perfectly. This openness is something I try to keep at the heart of my art.

As a self-employed artist, creativity is not just my tool – it is my way of life. It means being curious, following my inner impulses, and giving space to my emotions. There are times when ideas flow easily and others when nothing seems to happen, and I believe both are an important part of an honest creative journey. That is why finding balance in my life is so important to me. Spending time on my hobbies and with my loved ones nurtures and enriches my work. I have learned that the best ideas often come naturally, in quiet moments away from my desk. Whenever I feel stuck and ideas won’t come, nature and the ocean help me find my way back. A walk or a run through my hometown forest often clears my mind, and spending time by the water – especially while wing foiling or kitesurfing – gives me a fresh sense of energy and inspiration. Still, the ocean remains my deepest and most powerful source of creativity.

For me, being creative also means enjoying the moment when something new comes to life. It’s about playing with colors, trying out new shapes and styles, and pushing my own limits. I love this freedom, and that’s why I always like to explore new ideas in my projects. I also enjoy working on pieces that are a little different from what I usually paint. I believe this is the best way to learn and grow. That’s why I would also say my art is very flexible, because I have worked on many different projects that gave me new inspiration.

Drawing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had projects that I was excited to work on. Even today, that feeling is still the same. It was always my biggest dream to turn my passion into my profession. Even though I first studied nutritional therapy, I kept finding my way back to art. During my studies, I decided to believe in myself and take the first steps towards my dream. I started working as a self-employed artist and realized that it is possible to live your dream when you trust yourself and have the courage to follow your own path. Today, I am living the dream I once wished for so deeply. I am incredibly grateful for this, and I know that my 12-year-old self would hardly believe that they could one day turn their passion into a career.

I’m always excited about new inspiring projects, and if you can imagine working together, I would be happy to hear from you – whether by email or a DM on Instagram.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I’m really looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully starting a wonderful new project together!

Aloha, Mila
